All of my stuff was ready and got sent off today after a frantic day of trying to edit things on the original due date last friday. Because it was the last day to submit things, apparently the College Board's AP Studio website got overloaded and decided it would rather crash then let people do things.
Stressful, to say the least.
But now it's all sent in and that's all good. Senior finals are next week and then there's no more high school. At least the non-art finals aren't going to be hard. It's a presentation in English and some easy finals things in my other two classes. We aren't actually doing all that much during the school day anymore.
Hoping this summer to get some of my art into a local gallery, or possibly at the booth in the saturday farmer's market that's been reserved for student artists (high school and college level students, I believe).
Scrambling to come up with money for school as well. The best part about the art scholarships I've applied to so far is that they've all been the same thing, so it's just copy/pasting artist statements and digital files of my work. Sent in two today, hoping to find more this week.
I am a member of Idaho Media Professionals, which is mostly people in the film industry here, trying to figure out how to attract more films to the state and such. Their meetings are actually pretty interesting. I've met a few local animators, and may be able to find summer work through them, which would be awesome.
